Happy New Year..

Well since deciding that my New Years Resolution was to be more organised, I’ve failed miserably! I can’t believe it’s taken me 13 days to get a New Year post up on my blog!

Now I’ve finally made it, I thought I’d tell you a little about my plans for this year (hopefully I will do better with them than I have so far with my resolution!)

I’ve been working away on lots of new designs for this year, as well as remaking some old favourites, I’m hoping to have something good to show and tell next week 🙂

I’ve also been researching ways to get myself out there in the real world. One great thing I’ve discovered is Pinterest. I signed up last year, but never really looked at it properly, but since rediscovering it, I’m hooked. I think this is part of the reason my resolution has gone up the wall… I’m spending ages mooching around on there looking at all the pretty pictures!  But it’s fantastic for inspiration, colour palettes and just somewhere to keep all those links you’d usually pin to your favourites bar and never look at again!

If you’d like to follow me, I have added a link on the sidebar to get through to my boards, one of which shows off all the beautiful designs others have created using blueberribeads, you can see a few of them above the button. There are some seriously talented jewellery designers out there… have a look for lots more wonderful eye candy!

If you’ve created anything you’d like to pin to my board, drop me a line and I’ll add it in, or I can add you in to pin yourself if you let me know your email address 🙂

This year, I’ve also decided to get back in to jewellery making properly. I made a few bits at the end of last year and really enjoyed it, I think mainly because I got to go shopping for lots of beads 😉 But I’m going to be joining in with some challenges and making more with my own beads.

I have lots of other plans, but I’ll tell you more about those another time! I’d love to hear what your plans and resolutions are for the new year… are you sticking to them?

  1. Same resolution as me, and I’m not doing that well at it either.
Though working on my new stuff I have actually started using spreadsheets as I go rather than the usual January receipt and invoice fumble so even though I am far from organised it’s one step closer.

  2. I think I need to be more organised with that as well Scarlet… the throw it all in a box & forget about it system makes things quite stressful 😉

  3. You’ve already heard you my resolutions, Caroline! I love that bracelet! Think I might be adding one of those copper urchins to my wish list. Which reminds me – when you get the porcelain going again, would a porcelain bird cage work? That would be beautiful! Claire

  4. Thanks Claire 🙂 I should do more of the urchins… they take forever tho and my garage is freeeezing atm 😉 A porcelain birdcage would definitely work, I’ll put that on my to do list! I spoke to the kiln bloke yesterday, new elements are coming next week 😀 yay! x
