AE Theme Reveal – Flowers

It’s been a quick month this month, I’ve had so much to do that I didn’t even have a minute to think about the Art Elements challenge until a few days ago. I’ve just got something little for today’s reveal, but I’m glad I managed to get myself together to take part in the theme that Marsha set for us at the beginning of July… flowers!

If you’ve been following my @houseofwonders instagram page, you will have seen that I’m loving making miniatures, dioramas and mini accessories so I thought while I hadn’t left myself much time, I’d make some tiny flowers. I’ve already done miniature flowers in pots and I wanted something a bit different so I thought it would be the perfect chance to have a go at an idea that has been brewing for a while… magical flowers!

They’re inspired by Alice in Wonderland… I love all versions of the film, especially the Tim Burton version!

They’re made from polymer clay, wire, and paper, painted and planted in tiny terracotta pots. I think they’d look fabulous in any miniature garden!

I’m pleased with how they turned out!

Thanks to Marsha for a great theme, even though I was very last minute, I’ve enjoyed making these tiny flowers and have ideas for lots more!

As always, this is a blog hop, so to see what the rest of the team and guests have made for the flower theme, follow the links below 🙂
